# 5: Energy Carrier

This component calculates the environmental impact of the energy used in the building.

**INPUTS:**

The Energy Demand input can be a list or a single value.

The Energy Carrier input is based on a selection list that will be auto-generated once the Energy Demand has been connected.

**OUTPUTS:**

Energy properties (Text) provides the impact headers and values together for better readability, and Energy properties (Values) is the output that should be used through the workflow.
